I offer consultation, R&D, repair, tutoring, networking, and technical support for Windows and Macintosh computer systems and most network and imaging devices. I have a growing base of clients, including educators, doctors, engineers, business people, and home users, varying from ages 6 to 85.

Assisted recording sessions:  Pro Tools HD (recorded vocals, guitar, drums, and edited fades and effects), set up microphones, instruments, equipment, etc. Handled phone calls, booked sessions. General computer troubleshooting. Desktop publishing:  designed full-page advertisements, window banners, street sign.

Jun. 2001 -    Computer Services Consultant, Kinkos, Inc., Studio City, CA

Aug. 2002      Supervisor: Rick Rummell, General Manager, (818) 980-2679

This was the second time I worked for Kinkos in this capacity.  Please refer to the June 97 - May 98 entry below for specifics about the position.

Jan. 2001 - Systems Administrator, Elite Reprographics, San Francisco, CA

Jun. 2001    Sup'r: Fred Henderson, Human Res. Mgr, (415) 957-1234

Upon completion of several SFSU night classes and private studies in computer networking, I was promoted to the position of Systems Administrator. My title was Systems Administrator, but included the duties of the recently-eliminated position of Digital Department Supervisor (also, see prior work history entry below*). Within the Digital Department, I was at the top of the chain for consultation with clients and print production, and second in human resource management of my department. I maintained, upgraded, and troubleshot all the software and hardware of the companys WindowsNT network, consisting of a domain controller, backup devices, routers, hubs, cabling and connectivity, Windows & MacOS digital production & managerial workstations, proprietary print servers, a Unix-based Sun Microsystems e-mail server, AutoCAD workstations, large-format color inkjet printers, small-format color laser printers, and a large-format color scanner. The company also maintains a child-branch across the bay in Oakland, for which I was equally responsible.

Jul. 1999 -      *Digital Technician, Elite Reprographics, San Francisco, CA

Dec. 2000        Sup'r: Fred Henderson, Human Res. Mgr, (415) 957-1234

Elite's primary clientele are graphic design, interior design, architecture, advertising, construction, and engineering firms.  This position consists of extensive consultation with clients prior to their digital publishing file preparation.  We handle the output of files that were usually prepared for, or by, the clients.  However, 90% of the time the submitted files required some creative "tweaking" to print correctly and efficiently, as even the best-trained graphic designers often dont fully understand the nuances of good printing.  Consistent professionalism is a must in the highly-competitive world of high-end volume printing.  The software and hardware used are similar to Kinkos [see below], with the addition of AutoCAD and CAD-related printing software and hardware.

Jun. 1997 -  Computer Services Consultant, Kinkos, Inc., San Francisco, CA

May 1998    Sup'r: Mike King, Computer Services Manager, (415) 566-0572

The main focus of my work was desktop publishing on both Macintosh and Windows computers.  I created business cards, letterhead, flyers, and posters, utilizing my proficiency with software such as Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator, and QuarkXPress.  In addition to production, I was responsible for customer service, order-taking, inventory, register, quality control, and providing friendly assistance to customers using the self-serve computers.  Assisting the self-serve customers requires proficiency with more common applications (like Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to find what is needed on the internet, and continuous timely troubleshooting through a myriad of problems with printing, scanning, and networking.  Some qualities I possess that have served me well in this environment are patience, initiative, and methodical attention to detail.

Summer 1996       Food Prep/Cashier, Jamba Juice, Studio City, CA

                          Sup'r: Jordan Poznik, General Manager, (818) 753-7600

I prepared smoothies and juices, took orders, and operated the register.  Stocking and cleaning was handled individually and as a team, depending on how busy the store was.  The emphasis put on teamwork was a strong learning experience, and left me with a valuable asset.

1989 - 1994  Co-Owner/Sales Representative

Southern California Go-Ped, Studio City, CA

I was the first registered distributor in Southern California of Go-Ped motorized scooters. My brother and I started this home business with a loan from our parents.  We rode around our friends neighborhoods promoting through word-of-mouth with home-made business cards and flyers.  We both handled sales, customer service, repairs, account balancing, ordering & shipping, and bills.  When my brother left for college in 93, I continued this business alone for another year until I had enough money to buy a car on my 16th birthday.
