2) Scroll down to the section titled "Windows"
3) Click the link "avg75free_xxxxxxx.exe" to download the updater.
4) Update of AVG 7.1 to 7.5
1. Run the AVG Free Edition 7.5 Setup program you just downloaded.
2. Click "Next >" on the AVG "Welcome!" screen.
3. Click "Accept" on the "License Agreement on Use of an AVG Free Edition" screen.
4. Select "Repair installation" on the "Select Setup Type" screen and click "Next >".
5. Select "Restart the computer now" (pre-selected by the program automatically)
and click "OK" on the "Installation Complete!" screen to restart your computer
and complete the installation.
ANTI-SPYWARE
1) Go to the following site:
2) Scroll down to the BOTTOM section titled "Windows".
3) Click the link "avgas-setup-7.5.0.50.exe" to download the installer.
4) Run the installer you just downloaded, and just hit "Next" incessantly to accept all
defaults and install.
5) After it's done, you'll have an icon for AVG Anti-Spyware in your desktop. Open it
up, and make the following customizations:
1. Click "Status" category along the top.
2. Click "Update Now" link. ...Wait for all updates to download and install.
3. Click "Scanner" category along the top.
4. Click "Scheduler" tab.
5. Click "Click here to create a custom scan profile" link.
6. Click "Add profile".
7. Type your name as the profile's name.
8. Click "Add Registry".
9. Click "Add Memory".
10. Click "Add File/Folder".
11. Click ONCE on your "C" drive to highlight it, then click "OK".
12. Click "Schedule the profile".
13. Choose a Fixed Time when your computer is likely to be on, but unused
(e.g. lunchtime, dinnertime, overnight).
14. Checkmark "If scheduled time was missed, catch up as soon as possible".
15. Click the "X" at the top-right to "hide" AVG Anti-Spyware, and read the
message & click "OK".
